Jun porcelain originated from the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Song Dynasty. With its simple and classic design, superb craftwork, complicated glaze, unpredictable color changes during the firing, Jun porcelain was once used as the reward by the imperial family in ancient China. It has the same glaze before firing, but will display a profusion of colors after firing in the kiln. It is said among the civil that“while gold may have a price, Jun porcelain is priceless”and that“tremendous wealth is no better than a piece of Jun porcelain.”
