Geonghuigung Palace literally means "Palace of Supreme Harmony" and is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" in Seoul. It is the former home of Korean royalty and was a secondary palace where the king would go to in times of emergency. Much of the palace was destroyed during the Japanese occupation and about one-third of the palace has been reconstructed.
