Kelly Schwabenbauer lost much of her hearing when she was just a toddler. Today, the college student is able to detect sounds she never heard before thanks to a new, partially-implantable hearing device. Allegheny General Hospital's Dr. Douglas Chen said the Soundbridge hearing device has yielded rave reviews and tears of joy from the patients it has helped. Now, the device is helping even more people through a clinical trial at AGH.
